The former PoW Camp is now a playing field or rather a planning field, a children’s play area and separate wild areas the site being effectively divided into four parts by trees and a small creek.
Interestingly the Heritage Gateway sites states that this location was once WRAF Accommodation for the local RAF base. This reuse of disperse RAF and Army Accommodation was common
Looking at old maps this small creek is Nissen Creek but only it does not appear to be named on modern maps
The site is next to Pinhoe train station and is accessed through the train station car park.
