This former PoW site is to be found within a large industrial estate to the west of Newton. The site has divided into four parts; Ambulance Service HQ, Steel Stock Holding Yard, Agricultural Merchants, and the largest part is now a builder’s merchant G & T Evans Ltd. Although the Ambulance part of the site has been totally cleared there are remains of buildings and hut bases though the site along with several Romney Huts.

The site owners when I arrived said that the place was closed for business as they were in the process of re-organising and restocking. Having given me permission to take several photos around the site they told me that the bases of a number of the Huts were to be found on the site. In a way I was lucky that the site was being cleared up as it where in that it was possible to see the Hut bases as they appear to have been used as hard standing for stock within the yard.

Although it was raining I was able to take several interesting photographs with both a DSLR and Drone Cameras.
