The search for WWII PoW Camps in the British Landscape
PoW Camp 168 Brookmill Camp Kirkham
The site of the former PoW Camp 168 Brookmill Camp is to be found within a small industrial estate in Wesham / Kirkham adjacent to the railway line.
The industrial estate itself is made up of a mixture of new and old buildings with no direct onsite indications as to the former presence of the PoW Camp
Having said the above the “Tony Cartmell – Auto Re-Finishing Centre” yard and buildings and Warden” appear to be located on the site of the former “Brook Mill” as indicated in Malcolm Saunders Research
