Description
The site was built like many as a military site and then used as a PoW Camp. Post War the site became a large Territorial Army Depot and can be seen on Google Earth. The TA Depot closed some years ago and the site as it now exists has on one side a Large Vehicle MoT Test Station and Caravan sales site and on the other side a mixed Industrial Estate.
Within the Industrial Estate part of the camp I found some government type concrete fencing that appears to be from the TA Depot and might have been in place when the site was a PoW Camp.
As a note; this was the 1st site that I identified by the use of Google Earth Time Function.
