This camp has like many others been lost to redevelopment. In this case a large factor complex covers the entire site. As part of my investigations I put out an appeal for information with regards to the various site and I obtained the following reply for this site.

Heage isn’t actually in the Peak District it is just outside it.
Location grid reference is approximately SK 3567 5057 where the works are marked on the map

I can tell you it was occupied by male Italian POWs as my father-in-law used to swear at them in Italian when they were brought into Belper to go to the cinema.
I’m sure that if you contacted the right people you would be able to gain access to the land but there is a public footpath running next to the site and it is visible from the road. Sorry I can’t be more helpful than that re access. Reading the article Garner Holdings might be the people to contact or once the Amber Valley website is back up you might get more contact details off the planning application.
According to the article it was camp No 58.
