Kempton Park Racecourse is associated with three former PoW Camp Numbers 9, 218 and 681. It is not known if these were the same, adjacent or separated camps.

Kempton Park Racecourse is associated with three former PoW Camp Numbers 9, 218 and 681. It is not known if these were the same, adjacent, or separated camps. On enquiring at the Racetracks admin office, I was directed to several derelict and semi derelict buildings used on Market inc an Antiques Market. The actuality is that camps existed at some time in several places across the racecourse in both tents and huts.

Some of the FO paperwork includes details as to moving the PoWs from Camp 9 Kempton Park to Camp 9 Quorn.
