The former PoW Camp 634 Alvaston Camp on being cleared the camp was simply incorporated into the park and although nothing has survived the former site boundaries to the East can be discerned by a small row of trees in the centre of the park and Meadow Lane to the East.

In addition, to the normal football pitches and tennis courts the park incorporates the National BMX track. Finally Alvaston Mobile Home Park is to be found on the South East Corner, although it is not know at the time of writing if this was a park of the original camp
