PoW Camp 166 Wollaton Park
Wollaton Park and Hall are open to the public and during WWII a camp was built for the US Parachute Infantry Regiment 508.
A single hut now used as “The Wollaton 508 Cafe” that once formed a part of the camp has survived next to the car park and children’s play area.
It is assumed that this camp built for the US PIR was latter used as the PoW Camp
