I visited this site on a well clear day but with contiguous “flat low cloud”. This site of a former PoW Camp is now known as Headon Camp Industrial Estate. This former PoW Site is situated on the Nottinghamshire Lincolnshire border and close to Rampton Special Hospital. This site lies in the countryside and is surrounded by fields and the camp boundary has been retained. A number of brick buildings on the site have survived as have a number of huts.

Whilst some of the surviving buildings are now being used for light industry and secure / semi secure storage a number of huts are derelict. Hits have been cleared leading to waste ground likewise there has been some new building on the site.
The business usage on the site is mixed and I was not able to safety and or obtain permission to view a number of the huts including a small collect of huts to the East of Industrial estate one of which has been converted to a house and another looks as though it has been lived in with the other few huts in relatively good condition.
