The site of the former PoW Camp 155 Hornby Hall has a number of parallels with that of PoW Camp 156 Heath Camp. Okay the obvious is that they are one digit apart, but they were also former Wartime RAF Airfields within the grounds and or farmland of a country house.
The actual site of the PoW Camp is now a triangular shaped wood with surviving Nissen Huts and a Maycrete Hut on one side of the woods and a small number of Maycrete Huts converted into housing on the opposite side of the woods
