Weston is a complex site in that it was made up of two camps and three sites. I initial visited what today is Tower Farm on the northside of Swarkeston Road in Weston on Trent.

On closure of the Camp as a “Main Camp it became a Hostel to PoW Camp 28 Knightthorpe / Garendon.

This part of the complex apparently was used as a admin / guard site with the main camps to the south of the road with two sites. The Western site contains the remains of a number of Maycrete huts, brick huts, buildings and bases as part of Westonhill farm and Weston Wood Lodge. The site to the East appears to be used as a camping ground and is the location of a Ukraine Friendship Club.

The people at Tower Farm told me of the areas and camps association with former Ukrainian PoWs who created a Pig Farm on the Tower Farm Site. This farm has now gone, and that part of the site is now a private residence with two houses being built there. On the Weston Wood side a number of Caravans and Prefabs compose a holiday park
