The site of former PoW Camp 68 Halmuir Farm is perhaps the most interesting site i visited on my July 2021 trip to Scotland. In that part of the site has been developed as a Tourist Attraction based on the history of Ukrainian PoWs held here with the preservation of the camps chapel and has been advertised by the Scottish Tourist Board.

The situation of the Ukrainian PoWs is very different from that of most in that they were Soviet Citizens who fought on the German Side. Many Soviet PoWs were repatriated to the Soviets never to be seen again

This site now has a neglected feel about at with another part of the site being used as some form of bus maintenance garage. In addiction to this many tress have been planted on the site. However,take a look at the Drone and the location map any you can see the old hut line through the tress.
