Old Dalby is a former large MoD Stores Depot complete with housing for service families and the site of a former PoW Camp. To date I have not been able to validate the exact position of the former PoW other than to confirm that it was located to the North of the main stores site.

The area directly to the North of the former deport shows extensive evidence of previous military use with visible roads, pathways, drains and hut bases. In fact the military still occupy part of this site in that there is dog training unit.

Most of the camera images shot are to east of the dog training site and west of the married quarters.
Likewise, in using a drone to photograph this area I have been able to shoot oblique images of the entire site area without over flying the army base. The Drone Mapping images though have by necessity been shot as two separate images sets to either side of the army base as shown in the image to the right.
