This former PoW Camp was located within or adjacent to an Army Logistics Depot – Proteus

The site is now Boughton Industrial Estate which is divided into a North and South site by the A6075 Cocking Hill Road. The Northern site consist almost exclusively of Romney Huts and the remaining bases of the huts. The South side of the site whist containing a few Romney Huts mainly consist of modern factory and warehouse structures.

English Heritage places the site of the PoW Camp on the South Site. However, I currently have no information as to the validity of this information. During my site visit I took several shots mainly of the Romney Huts and bases on both sides of the site. Given this, a revisit may be needed at such time as I obtain verified information as to the location of the PoW Camp within or close to the Depot
