The former PoW Camp 26 Barton Field is now the home of Ely Golf Club. Like many such sites in calling and talking to the people involved in running what is now a Golf Club I received a very warm welcome and despite being busy they took time out to assist with is project.

The Club Secretary took me over to the Green Keepers maintenance area as it contained a surviving Nissen Hut and a number of hut bases. In fact the hut was unique in that it was clad in Asbestos. Subsequent to my visit the club sent me some original images that appear to have been taken after the camp was closed along with a map of the site.

One thing that really strikes me in photographing the site using the drone from the south were the views of the course with Ely Cathedral in the background.
