This former PoW Site was used to house Italian PoWs and then German and is now a park and playground with a wild untamed area. There are NO trances of the former PoW Camp although I did find some concrete blocks and small fence posts.

Camp 590 on Pear Tree Lane is at the edge of Garendon Park with the former main road to the hall nearby. In my interview with the Estate owner Squire Gerard de Lisle I was told that until a few years ago there one or two buildings and remnants of the camp but these were lost to fire and vandalism.
